Tapping The Source was the band’s second album and marked a more forceful and representative studio recording than their earlier self-titled debut. The album captures The Lazy Cowgirls’ fast, raw blend of punk rock, garage rock, early rock and roll, blues and country influences.
The record contains original material including “Can’t You Do Anything Right?,” “Bullshit Summer Song,” “Goddamn Bottle” and “Mr. Screwdriver,” along with high-energy interpretations of earlier rock and country songs.
