Description
You Still Want Me / You Do Something To Me 7" Single The Kinks Pye label. Cat. No. 7N.15636 Released 1964
7" single that comes in the correct Pye company sleeve, although, judging by the cat. no. written on the sleeve, this wasn't the original but clearly from the same year nevertheless.
CONDITION Under a 35 watt halogen lamp, both sides have what is best described as a covering of light scratches, but nothing deep or 'feelable'. A visual grade of Good.
When played on a Pro-ject Debut III turntable (freshly balanced tone arm and fairly new stylus) both sides play with just a background crackle. It is very much behind the music, which sounds brilliant, but it is constant throughout, although it is a little louder for the first 5 seconds of the B side. There are no 'clicks' or 'pops' and it doesn't even come close to skipping or sticking. A play-grade of Good+ but it isn't far off a VG minus grade.
The labels just show a little wear but that's it. The sleeve has creasing, ringwear and a small tear.

GRADING GUIDE - IMPORTANT!
I visually examine all records under a strong 35w halogen lamp, which shows up ALL defects.
I strictly grade my records according to the Rare Record Price Guide (RRPG), which, to me, means as follows:
MINT- Must be sealed
NEAR MINT - Totally unmarked, no scratches, not even faint 'hairlines' / sleeve withdrawal marks or any other signs of having been played.
EXCELLENT - No scratches, just signs of having been played, such as the odd faint 'hairline' sleeve withdrawal mark that is barely visible under a strong lamp, or spindle trails on the label.
VERY GOOD - The FIRST mild scratches have begun to appear, but only very, very few.
GOOD - More scratches than Very Good and more severe, but I am confident that the record will play through without skips or sticking and will still provide a good listening experience.
FAIR - The record may not play through properly with a chance of it jumping and / or it will play with significant background noise.
POOR - It definitely won't play without skipping or sticking.
Below Near Mint I will use plus or minus with a grade to highlight fine differences.
COVER GRADES
My cover grades are EXACTLY as stated in Record Collector magazine / RRPG. Therefore, if a cover is defaced, stained or torn it CANNOT grade better than FAIR. Likewise, if any part of the contents are missing it CANNOT grade better than POOR.
All my records are dispatched using stiffeners and card mailers.
