Up for sale is 1982 PRT Stereo Reissue of The Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society, by The Kinks.
For anyone that knows Kinks Records, these PRT pressing were pretty good, as they were taken from the original PYE master tapes (not digital reissues like you get now). PYE records were renamed PRT around 1981 when the electrical goods division was demerged from the recording side of the company, so PRT is PYE. The PRT Represses were also mastered and cut by Tony Bridge who mastered and cut the original release back in 68 who signed the dead wax with *T or 'Tone'.  I have checked this out, and my original VGPS stereo copy has a *T and so does my Mono Arthur.
I have owned this copy from new and its been well looked after, stored in an outer sleeve all its life, Its been carefully played a few times, but remains in excellent condition.
Sleeve -  In excellent condition, Nice and glossy with very little wear just some very light creasing to the edges. No barcodes or additional text like the modern reissues. This sleeve is a perfect facsimile of the 1968 original. Although the record is the stereo version NSPL 18233, The sleeve states the 'Mono' and the 'NSPL' prefix. This is incorrect as the recording is Stereo as stated by the labels. Back in the 1960s when Mono and Stereo versions were offered, some companies (PYE) would over label Mono covers with a Stereo sticker stating the revised Stereo code.

Labels - Excellent with some spindle marks.
Vinyl - Excellent. Some light paper scuffs, but played carefully and kept clean in my 42 years of ownership.

Really nice copy, Don't think you will find a nicer PRT copy for sale any time soon. Only selling due to finally acquiring an original pressing. Please study the images for actual condition.
