Description
The Kinks “Kinks” 1st S/T Vinyl LP UK 1st Press 1964 PYE MONO EX+/EX NPL 18096.
Superb sounding original 1st UK pressing of The Kinks debut LP “Kinks” on pink PYE labels
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: NN 1096–A1T KT
Side 2: NN 1096–B2T KT
The vinyl visually grades as EX with a few very light non sounding scuffs and marks when viewed under strong light. It has a small white mark with what something in the grooves on 1st track of side 2 (see photos). It’s been fully play tested and It plays beautifully throughout with no major issues at all. The faintest of crackle heard in a couple of spaces between tracks only. Genuinely very minimal. The music is very loud and clear throughout and a really nice sounding copy. EX+ overall grade.
The sleeve is VG+ to EX. No major issues but the non-laminated back has discoloured with age. Some of the marks could possibly be “rubbed out”A couple of laminate creases near spine and bottom edge, but again nothing major.
It doesn’t have the original advertising inner but I will include a brand new poly lined inner.
Really nice sounding original 1st UK mono pressing!
