Conceived & written by Ray Davies as the soundtrack to a UK Granada TV play which was cancelled and never produced.

This EXCELLENT UK 1968 1st STEREO pressing is on the blue & black Pye label: NPL.18317

Housed within an outer laminated mono (stereo stickered) gatefold cover, complete with original poly-lined inner-sleeve.


CONDITION

Disc: EXCELLENT

This great sounding disc from a cherished Kinks collection has received just careful play on quality equipment. Both playing surfaces are very clean with just some light inner-sleeve storage marks do not affect sound or play. All tracks play without any groovewear or crackle and apart from some low-level vinyl background between tracks, there is little to fault on this highly respectable example.

Cover: VERY GOOD +

Tough to find in anything approaching this condition, this impossibly fragile cover has retains a clean, glossy and undamaged front leaf with just slight wear aling the upper edge but there are no tears anywhere. Inside is clean & unworn with just the neatly written name of the original owner & a date in the upper left corner of the left panel. The rear panel is clean with moderate toning, but it retains the stereo sticker which was prone to quickly falling off. The spine clearly and fully worded with just a little laminate lift.

Queen Victoria Insert: EXCELLENT +

This rare lyric sheet insert is in perfect condition with just light creasing on the 'Pull' tab at the top.
