Description

An acetate record was a ‘one off’ copy made of a song as a demo in the 60s and 70s for potential recording artists to learn the song from. Each one was cut onto a thick plastic disc using a disc cutter (from the original tape recording) by the studio concerned.  In this case, it was Pye Records Ltd.  Act Nice And Gentle’  by The Kinks. Now very much a cult band. Included is a photocopy of the original handwritten lyrics.
