I Kaleidoscope, spesso contrassegnati dalla sigla UK, per non confonderli con gli omonimi e coevi americani , è stata una rock band psychedelic inglese attiva tra il 1967 e il 1968. Le canzoni della band sono state una combinazione di elementi di psichedelia con notevoli testi.Dopo aver eseguito dal 1963 sotto il nome di The Sidekicks, sono diventati i The Key nel Novembre del 1965, prima di stabilirsi con il nome di Kaleidoscope quando nel Gennaio del 1967 , con l'aiuto della casa editrice musicale di Dick Leahy , hanno firmato un accordo con la Fontana Records. Il gruppo consisteva di Eddy Pumer sulla chitarra , Steve Clark su basso e flauto , e Danny Bridgman sulla batteria e il cantante Peter Daltrey , che ha anche suonato l'organo e che si unì alla band nel Marzo del 1964. Kaleidoscope were an English psychedelic rock band that were active between 1967 and 1968. The band's songs were combining the elements of psychedelia with remarkable lyrics.Having performed since 1963 under the name The Sidekicks, they became The Key in November 1965, before settling upon the name Kaleidoscope when they signed a deal with Fontana Records in January 1967 with the help of the music publisher Dick Leahy. The group consisted of Eddy Pumer on guitar, Steve Clark on bass and flute, and Danny Bridgman on drums and the vocalist Peter Daltrey, who also played organ and joined the band in March 1964. Most of the band's songs were composition of Pumer's music and Daltrey's lyrics. While the group did not achieve commercial success in its time, it retains a loyal fan-base and its recordings are remembered in high regard.
