Description

First UK Track record pressing of Electric Ladyland by The Jimi Hendrix experience.  Serial Number 613 008/9 Matrix A1!

This is an amazingly rare gem to find in this condition!

1.  As with all early Track pressings of Electric Ladyland, The first record contains sides A and D and the second record contains sides B and C which is present with this item.  (apparently to make the records play in order when using a multi stack - Luckily this record hasn't been near one!)

2.  The words 'Electric Ladyland' on the record labels overlap the circular indent on early copies (Specifically label A which can be seen in the picture).  This was soon fixed on later pressings by shifting the text around to make the words fit properly.

3.  The matrix numbers on the run out were punched in by machines wrongly on some sides, so were scratched out and then the correct number added by hand, proving first issue.  This is easily noticeable on this particular copy upon close inspection, but hard to photograph!

Unfortunately this does not come with the naked lady sleeve that we all know and love but instead comes in a gatefold reprise sleeve with some notes and pictures inside.  I know some of the stores censored the nude sleeves back in the day, perhaps that is why it is in this sleeve, but I cannot say for sure.

Anyway now for condition:

Vinyl = EX minus.
The records have a beautiful shine to them and I'd love to give an EX rating and probably could, but I'm just veering very slightly on the edge of caution with an item as rare as this because there are a few minor hairlines/paper scuffs on one or two sides, but these are only visible under very bright light and do not affect play in any way.  The records have a wonderful warm feel when listened to, I have play tested them throughout and they sound fantastic.

Labels are clean, no writing, no stickers/sticker marks and text is nicely visible and still looks nice and shiny:
Side A - EX  Minimal Spindle marks
Side B - VG+ Few spindle marks
Side C - VG   Very slight wear in centre
Side D - VG - Very slight wear in centre

Gatefold Sleeve - EX
The sleeve is made of ultra thick cardboard and is in fantastic condition.  One tiny gripe would be a slight bit of wear in the bottom left hand corner, not really noticeable, just being as critical as I can!  Apart from that no creases, tears, thumb marks at opening of sleeve.

Comes with the original inner poly lined sleeves as well, although condition of these leaves something to be desired!  I can send out some better sleeves as well as the originals.

Overall this is a fantastic copy of a fantastic album, which you would be hard pressed to find again.  Starting this at a penny, with no reserve so good luck!
Please email me with any questions.  I'll also be putting up a few more rare records soon.
Many thanks!
