Description
THE JAM Start!
Rare 1980 UK injection moulded 7" vinyl single pressed in France. This is the infamous mispressed version which instead of playing the title track actually plays Can't Stop The Music by the Villiage People with the labels correctly printed for The Jam although featuring a slightly different design, whilst the B Side plays the correct Liza Radley, fully laminated flipback picture sleeve.
(1st pressing (Mispress) of 'Start!' which mistakenly had the Village People track pressed on A-Side, rapidly withdrawn by Polydor-all copies were recalled by Polydor and a very hasty correct pressing was rushed out.)
This version is a mispress with the Village People's "Can't Stop The Music " on the A-Side instead of 'Start!'. Liza Radley plays as normal on the B-Side. Has correct labels.
Silver injection-print label, showing title "Start" without exclamation mark (as shown on picture sleeve).
In 'New' condition. Ex record store stock.
