✦ WHY THIS IS DESIRABLE Destiny is historically significant as the album that established The Jacksons as self-sufficient creative artists — Michael Jackson co-wrote and co-produced the entire record. It contains Blame It on the Boogie, one of the most enduring disco-era anthems ever recorded. Any Michael Jackson-related release from 1978 — one year before his solo breakthrough — carries strong collector premium. The Mexican Epic pressing with gatefold is a distinct regional variant.
