Description

Jeff Lynne from ELO and The Move, in his first band's debut album--The Idle Race "The Birthday Party" in amazing condition.   Beautiful copy of this LP which is particularly rare on the original record label (with original cover)--Liberty Records and very unusual to find in such great condition.

I rate very conservatively by Goldmine standards--what I (by Goldmine definition) call near mint, most sellers would call mint. The only records I rate mint are ones that are still sealed.  I'm giving this vinyl the highest grade I give any unsealed album due to it's amazing condition I'll grade it near mint.  Jacket is near mint as well!  Every record I list is from my personal record collection which I am selling—see my other auctions as I'm listing records daily. Vinyl has been stored in a VRP record sleeve (included with purchase).

This LP (besides having the original cover) even has the original Liberty Records picture sleeve inside that shows other Liberty 60's artists like Cher etc!  Fans of ELO, The Move, or Jeff Lynne's solo material will love this album--all his trademarks are there:  great songwriting, orchestration, vocals, etc.   Liberty Label LST 7603.   Fast shipping--I usually ship within 24 hours of receiving payment.   I use the Goldmine Grading Scale and have 100% positive feedback so buy with confidence!

P.S. I do not sell to Ebay members with less than three positive feedbacks.

Goldmine Grading scale:

Mint(M) - Absolutely perfect in every way - certainly never played, possibly even sealed.

Near Mint(NM) - A nearly perfect record. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.

Very Good Plus(VG+) - Record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. May have slight signs of wear and slight scuffs and scratches.

Very Good(VG) - A disc similar to VG+ where the defects are more pronounced. Surface noise will be evident, but will not overpower the music.

Good(G) - A record that will play through without skipping, but has significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear.

Fair(F) - Grade between poor and good, obviously. Very heavy damage, though the record should still play.

Poor(P) - A record with heavy damage, probably will skip, and is the worst grade
