The Hollywood Argyles (featuring Gary Paxton), “Alley Oop”, cover Lute L-101, vinyl Lute LP-L-9001 (promo copy) cover mint, vinyl mint.

This 1960 classic LP holds a distinctive place in vintage rock and roll history, as the song “Alley Oop” was recorded before the group, the Hollywood Argyles, existed. Gary Paxton was “Flip” of the duo Skip & Flip and was under contact to Brent Records, but made a recording of a song called “Alley Oop” that was written by Dallas Frazier. When the song became a huge hit, Paxton had to create the Hollywood Argyles, who marketed the song under their name. They only had one LP, and this is an absolute stone mint unplayed original issue of this scarce LPs.
