Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. -
this is the by far much rarer original first mix before the remix

- The Very First Neil Young
- NO REMIX RAREST VERSION
- Sitting all alone in 1969 after fleeing the mighty BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD while 'Neil Young' plays aloud, hiding under bed covers, ditto, sitting upside down trying new ways to explore sonic resilience - all nouveau chic ways to get this confounded ballbreaker of an album to register, none have been successful to date. What remains here is mammoth production that presses up flood water style against a mix dogs with bionic ears wouldn't notice, songs with delusions of grandeur that finish before a middle eight arrives, or drift on with no heed to tags or any focus point, winding confusingly into 'The Last Trip to Tulsa', stop/start 'avant garde' folk ramble that cuts like a chainsaw through those splendid contemplative pieces Young had announced himself to the world with two years earlier. Go away beautiful bird, someone needs to forgive himself fast. Song sequencing meanders merrily across continuously abrasive spectrums, opening with over-rated instrumental 'The Emperor of Wyoming', 'String Quartet From Whiskey Boot Hill' planted from nowhere to make Neil look like a boy from a 19th century novel all scrubbed up to meet the king. His first venture towards new climates did bring two tunes which stand exempt from criticism, 'The Loner' scraping its claws through the murky mess, and perennial masterpiece 'The Old Laughing Lady', gospel, folk, free jazz, soul, amalgamated into a chord structure that makes it worth getting out of bed every day. Other artists would have withered after a similar career, but Neil Young had just started his engine.
