Selling-up my record collection. This is an American copy of the 'Hogs second album, from 1969, on Imperial Records. An old favourite of mine.

Cover - American style manufacture, printed paper over card. These wear, pick up stains, and split, much more easily than UK record covers. Rather than spend pages describing faults in detail, I'll say this is grubby, stain and writing on back, split one-third of the way across the top seam, has ring-wear that is grubby and small losses to picture on from. But I love it..

Record - looks very good, noticeable flaws are - side 1 - a fingernail type mark right across the side, a speck (inclusion in the vinyl, I think) on track one, and various short scratches. Side 2 shows another fingernail mark on track 3, and a very short light scratch on track 2. Contrast this with some records of this vintage, which are covered in scratches! I played this to see what a buyer might expect from his / her listening experience. Firstly, it sounds as it should, not worn-out / knackered. It doesn't skip or catch anywhere. I've actually lost my notes from my listening test, but expect scratches to be audible here-and-there (not all the way through) and crackling sometimes. Expect a good listening experience (it's a most interesting album, some straight blues, and some tracks are McPhee moving away into an individual blues-based style - might be loosely described as heavy psychedelic blues) with some not-overwhelming but noticeable old-vinyl sounds.

Good start price, for a UK blues classic.

I have been collecting records for 50 years (when finances allowed!), and now it's time to sell-up. I bought them mostly around local shops (second-hand), but sometimes from e-bay, and sometimes new, for my favourite bands.

When I'm checking for damage on records, I look at them carefully with my reading glasses on, in good daylight. This method detects any bits of damage that will affect what you hear when listening to it - and lots that are not audible. Using a spotlight or direct sunlight shows more surfacey marks sometimes, but I don't do that - records are for listening to, not trying to see your face in.

I don't mail things personally, to countries outside the UK - ( I mean it, don't ask) - but I am happy to use E-Bay UK's Global Shipping Program, for sending things abroad.

Under this scheme, I send the parcel to an e-bay depot in UK, and they forward it to the overseas buyer.

They have a tracked courier service, for the journey from their UK depot, to the buyer.

This means that I can ONLY accept payments through e-bay (Pay Now button), and I can't send invoices. Combined postage may or may not be possible through the Program - if e-bay shows combined postage for their courier job, I'll do combined postage for the transit inside UK. I can't see information about this until you pay.

International buyers should be able to see a postage cost to their country, you may have to input your location, if your country is included in the scheme.
