Description

For those who have a love of classical music, and are perhaps re-discovering the authentic sound of vinyl,  this iconic and timeless collection  of recordings made by famous orchestras and conductors would be brilliant addition to your library.

The collection was originally issued fortnightly during 1985 by Marshall Cavendish, in association with Deutsche Grammophon, Phillips and Decca.  The records are in good condition and in their original covers. They were played relatively rarely, and none were scratched or otherwise damaged as  far as I can recall.

The 52 LP's include the most famous and best loved orchestral compositions by Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Handel, Mahler, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Schubert, Liszt, Berlioz, Schumann, Chopin, Gershwin, Rodrigo, Holst, Orff, Rachmaninov, Prokofief, Bartok, Elgar, Richard Strauss, Stravinsky, Debussy, Johann Strauss II, Gounod, Ravel, Dvorak, Grieg, Rimsky-Korsakov, Sibelius, and Borodin.

The collection was issued fortnightly during 1985, and was divided into four sections,

Parts 1 to 20 - Romantic Era

Parts 21 to 32 - Baroque and Classical Music

Parts 33 to 42 - The Age of Nationalism

Parts 43 to 52 -Twentieth Century classical music
