Description

Up for grabs is a super rare TEST PRESSING of The Grateful Dead's monolithic 2xLP set, 'What A Long Strange Trip It's Been: The Best Of The Grateful Dead' 
This is the test pressing for the first vinyl pressing on Warner Bros., released in 1977. This came directly from the estate of a former Warner Brothers employee and is an authentic test press. I cannot state whether or not this has alternate mixes on it, as I do not own a retail copy that I can compare it with. 
All 4 sides of the vinyl have identical white generic WB labels, with "Side 1/4" and "Side 2/3" written in pen on both discs. Sides 1 & 3 are completely clean and NM, and sides 2 & 4 are closer to EX. 
The dead wax etchings are: - 2w-1-3091 LW1 - 2w-4-3091 LW2 - 2w-3-3091 LW1 - 2w-2-3091 LW2 
The sleeves are generic white sleeve that accompany most test pressing, with the cat number written in large black marker. It also includes the original cue sheet that came directly from WB (used by the label to confirm song titles/run times/etc.)    Please check out my other auctions - I'm also selling a few sealed Frank Zappa records from the same estate, along with some even rarer test pressings! 
Shipping for this item is only $4 via USPS Media Mail, and will include free insurance if the auction surpasses $50. If you would prefer a different shipping method, let me know and we can work out the difference. I've been shipping records for years, and use industry-standard LP mailers with padding and stiffeners.
