Description

ARTIST: The Grateful Dead
LABEL: Warner Brothers W 1689 (1967 Mono)
TITLE: The Grateful Dead
CONDITION:
Sleeve: Most of the front cover is a nice VG++ w/ just a little light wear. However the bottom left corner of the slick has problems. There is a 3" line crease, a repaired 2" tear and some chipping/tearing within that triangle. The back cover is almost Mint- w/ just a little light aging on the white paper. The bottom seam has a touch of wear at the right corner. The top seam & spine are sharp & intact and both have nice readable graphics.
Record: Retains high original gloss w/ lots of light surface scuffs but no real scratches. Side A plays an amazing Mint- w/ great sound presence. Side B plays a strong VG++ w/ just a little light random background surface noise and again great sound presence. / By the spindle hole it looks like this LP may have hardly been played. / VPI cleaned
COMMENTS: Rare original 1967 gold label mono copy of The Grateful Dead's first S/T LP. Stamper 1E / 1D. Comes with original Warner Brothers inner sleeve.
