Vinyl lp 12" LET'S LIVE FOR TODAY by The Grass Roots, released 1967 in the US on Dunhill Records (DS 50020), stereo. This is a Capitol Records Club Edition lp (catalog number ST 91213 is printed on the back). No matter how much airplay their discography continues to get, The Grass Root's first two albums are too lightly regarded compared to their impact. LET'S LIVE FOR TODAY is the U.S. equivalent to ODESSEY AND ORACLE--perfect psych-pop, thanks to the melodic sensibilities of songwriters P.F. Sloan and Steve Barri. (At least) as lovingly crafted as PET SOUNDS yet rarely championed as such.
Grading is subject to YOUR eyes and ears, backed by my return policy (see below). Regardless of what anyone says, there is no OBJECTIVE standard for grading used records. I have complete CONFIDENCE in my assessment but I am more than happy to accomodate yours. Between us, you are the Record God.
