The Gospelfolk. Prodigal. Ultra Rare 1969 Garage Psych Vinyl Record. Emblem. NM. Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
This is a rare 1969 Garage Psych album. Apparently only 99 were pressed. The Gospelfolk were a Christian band from Scotland that had a Velvert Underground esc sound. This is their only album on Emblem Records.
Did a bit of research for this as I have never ever come across it before let alone seen it. They were regulars at The Catacombe Coffee Bar in Bellshill, it was where the front cover was taken, they were one of the popular bands to play there. They started out in 1964 calling themselves The Gospel Four, playing churches in the area.
This record in my honest humble opinion has never seen a turntable. It is as new as the day it was made. Would have to grade Near Mint. Labels are clean.
The sleeve has a crease on the top right and a little laminate peel away. It has a sticker on the bottom left that could be removed easily. The back is nice with very slight stainage, but does have a place where a price sticker has been removed You would not have to upgrade this little nugget as the vinyl is in near new condition.
Hardly ever comes up for grabs. Popsike only has 7 listings of it. There is one for sale on Discogs, but as said in my previous listings, you don’t know what you’re going to get.
