Description
A rarity indeed. An original BBC Transcription Services (which produced these, sometimes editorially different, recordings for overseas broadcast) 33RPM recording of the Goon Show, specifically 'The Goon Show 85 - The Last Smoking Seagoon' and 'The Goon Show 86 - A Christmas Carol (Christmas Edition)'. Durations are 28'57" and 29'02" respectively. They are numbered 102882 and 102883 and each has an Expiry Date of 2.7.63. The disc itself and its outer sleeve (Marked 'A BBC Programme') are numbered 1317. Condition-wise, the disc itself is lightly scratched on both sides (though I would suggest still quite playable) and the sleeve, with plastic lining, slightly dirtied, as seen in photograph.
