A rare and early Psychedelic Prog classic and pre-cursor to Uriah Heep due to the presence of Ken Hensley’s swirling keyboards + vocals and Lee Kerslake’s drumming. Been in my collection for 40 years and unplayed for 30. Personally I think this is more Heap than their second album To Samuel A Son which I also have up for auction.
The vinyl is not mint as it has been well played, there is some surface noise/crackling between tracks at times and in quieter passages. I would rate it as mainly good+ but excellent it is not.
Side 1 The vinyl has minor scuffs and marks but nothing of note.
Side 2 Minor scuffs and an obvious surface scratch but it does not affect the audio. On the fade out on track 2 there is a single slight skip.
Both labels are in excellent condition no stickers/writing but with light spindle marks near the centres.
The sleeve has a laminated front with a few minor creases around the "ring" but is structurally sound with no splits, rips or tears. Printed by Garrod & Lofthouse.
The spine is OK
The rear sleeve has an inked on price (14/11) and there are inked numbers and asterisks against the track listings. The bottom edge has lost some of its printed surface ( see the pic).
