This auction is for the vinyl LP  -  THE GODS  -  GENESIS.   UK STEREO LP - COLUMBIA RECORDS - STEREO SCX 6286, BLACK AND SILVER LABELS, CIRCA 1968.      The matrix numbers are ; A SIDE : YAX 3676-1, with what also appears to be a feint 1 G.   B SIDE : YAX 3677-1, with what also appears to be a feint 1  A.  ( Please see label close-ups for track listings etc ).   ( Band members of The GODS had connections with ; Uriah Heep, Toe-Fat, Jethro Tull, King Crimson ).

Condition: The front laminate of the picture sleeve still retains a beautiful gloss, has some light, small laminate creases, o/w the front cover = excellent.  The back cover has some slight age dis-colouration.  The spine is strong and clear. There is NO record break-through to the edges.  Overall the cover = excellent condition.   The Columbia advertising inner has some age dis-colouration = excellent -.  The labels = excellent condition.   I have played both sides of this album and they sound / play great, a very enjoyable listen, with NO sticks or jumps.  Visually, the vinyl has some light scratches / hairlines / marks and some slight dulling to the vinyl's sheen, I think that these are more associated to slight storage rub / record removal from sleeve, than from heavy play.  So, visually, overall, I would grade the vinyl as excellent - .   This is a really desirable album in excellent - to excellent condition, that plays and sounds great.   Please note, any white flashes or shadows on my pictures are usually from the spot lights I use for photographing things, or the sun (if it's out), they do not appear on the actual cover or vinyl....
Where appropriate, the record will be taken out of its picture sleeve ( or inner sleeve if applicable )  to prevent record breakthrough damage to the original sleeve whilst in transit, it will still remain in a protective paper sleeve.  The item will then be put into a new Covers 33  400g poly protective cover to keep it safe. All my records are sent out in a strong cardboard package marked '' vinyl records - please do not bend '' + '' fragile ''.   When grading my records I use the Record Collector Magazines grading guide: Mint = Brand new condition.  Excellent = The record will show some signs of being played, but very little lessening in sound quality. The cover etc. may have slight wear or creases. Very good = The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major sound deterioration, despite noticeable surface marks / light scratches.  The cover would have normal wear and tear - no major defects unless mentioned. Each description might be tweaked with a  + or - .  I play all my records and will mention anything noticeable.

The items are then put in a new Covers 33 400g poly sleeve.  A proof of posting certificate will be obtained for every package.
