Description
Here's an original mono pressing of Pickett's classic THE EXCITING WILSON PICKETT (1966, Atlantic 8129, mono copy). The mono copy is much more sought after than the stereo, as most buyers had moved onto stereo by '66 when this came out. This is one of, if not, the most sought after Wilson Pickett albums. Includes his classic take on "Land of 1000 Dances, " Barefootin'", & "In the Midnight Hour." It has the Atlantic label which is consistent with original copies. The red and purple one which can be seen in the 3rd picture. Here's your chance to get an original of the rare mono copy in great shape for a great price. Record: VG+ Pretty light scratches that don't do anything but cause a small amount of static. No pops, at least not on my turntable.
Jacket: VG+/VG++ A little bit of wear here and there but overall very nice. Looks like a small amount of moisture got to the bottom of the cover at some point but it's hardly noticeable. No splits!
