In the winter of 1967, a psychedelic-garage-punk band from Woodland Hills, California, arrived in Europe for what would be their first and last tour of the continent. On the strength of their hit single "I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night," the band was welcomed with open arms by European rock fans as well as British rock royalty - they smoked out with Hendrix, partied with Brian Jones and Keith Moon, and hung out in the studio with the Beatles - but were also subjected to harassment and ridicule over the fact that their homeland was at war in Vietnam. On the last stop of the tour someone pushed the record button and this artifact is the result. Stockholm '67 finds the Electric Prunes at the height of the powers. Over-amplified and fuzzed to the max, the 'Prunes here are explosive, noisy and wild. This recording proves that the Electric Prunes deserve to be ranked alongside the very best bands of their era.

Album Notes
The Electric Prunes include: James Lowe (vocals); Mike Gannon (guitar, background vocals); Ken Williams (guitar); Mark Tulin (organ, bass, background vocals); Quint (drums).  Recorded live at Konserthuset, Stockholm, Sweden on December 14, 1967.  Calling them tight would be an understatement -- the band does a 45-minute set, parts of which ("Try Me On For Size," "You Never Had It Better") display long instrumental passages showing off Williams' prowess on the fuzz-tone guitar and Quint's powerful drumming to great effect; "I Had Too Much To Dream Tonight" is here, along with "Long Day's Flight" and "Get Me to the World On Time" and solid covers of "Got My Mojo Workin'" and "Smokestack Lightnin'." This live show presents the group as much more of a garage-punk band than a psychedelic band, though they still traffic in the currency of the latter, including lots of distorted guitars and organ cadenzas -- the snarl and energy keep things moving, however. Sealed LP Inspection Service

Since all of our items are factory sealed we cannot be fully responsible for the condition of the invisible part, unless you ask us to inspect it.  Even though incorrect, defective or damaged product is very rare, we highly recommend that you allow us to inspect your item before we ship it.  Just let us know by writing INSPECT in the note to seller box when paying via PayPal.

If there is something wrong with your record that could only have been seen by such inspection, and you did not request it, we will not be responsible for the cost of shipping the faulty product back here, or for the shipping of a replacement item to you. We will replace the faulty item, however, as long as you pay for these freight costs.

Also, many LP buyers prefer to have the disc shipped outside the jacket to minimize damage to the jacket.  If you have requested that we inspect the disc, then we will pack it outside the jacket.

If you are at an address where there are customs duties, and you have ordered an amount that puts you just over the limit for avoidance of such duties, we are willing to do you the service of discounting the merchandise a little upon request, if you will allow us to make up for it with an equivalent increase in shipping and handling fees. We would want your agreement to give us good rankings for fair shipping/handling fees in such instances.
