Description
Just recently I bought a massive collection of 60's and 70's LPs...some are in surprisingly immaculate condition, and some are not, but the original owner (a well-respected Australian vinyl hoarder) was a fastidious collector of the styles he loved - 60's beat/punk/garage, British invasion well-knowns [Beatles/Hollies/Dave Clark 5/Gerry & The Pacemakers/Zombies/Troggs/Rolling Stones, etc..], 70's West Coast sounds, pop-psych and he'd obviously forraged far and wide since there's a flurry of unique South American, New Zealand,Taiwanese, South African, Japanese releases amongst them all.
Here then, is one of the LPs from his collection:
"IT’S 2 EASY”… second LP…Australian…Released 24 March 1966…original first press…mono…Parlophone…black and yellow labels…(PMCO-7530)…flipback cover…only mono catalogue number on cover…condition: [cover first, then record]: VG+[+]/VG[-]…has more pronounced marks, but nothing heavy…plays with some crackles and pops...14 tracks, all originals!!...even better beat/garage LP than first album...

It's 2 Easy would peak at number 3 on the Kent Music Report Charts but would end up being the 7th best selling album in 1966 (right behind The BeatlesRevolver). It would also mark the debut of the famous Vanda and Young song writing team with 'Then I'll Tell You Goodbye'. As Vanda's English would improve and his position and George's chief co writer would eventually surpass Stevie's (but not without its own tension).
Their 2nd album contained five tracks that had previously appeared on singles: 'Wedding Ring', 'Sad and Lonely and Blue', 'Easy As Can Be' and the double A side 'Women'/'In My Book', and a new single to be released in April - 'Come and See Her' (back with 'I Can See').
