The Doors Waiting for the Sun MONO
UK Elektra ELK 4024 A1 /B1
Waiting for the Sun was the third (studio) album by The Doors, recorded and released in 1968. It became the band's first and only No. 1 album, spawning their classic US number one single, "Hello, I Love You". It also became the band's first hit album in the UK, where it peaked at No. 16.
A really good all-round solid VG/VG+ copy of this classic Doors album, that won’t disappoint.
Sleeve: Gatefold sleeve, light signs of age related handing/minor scuffing only; all sides true and complete, no rips or tears, spine is slightly worn but true. Small name on top left of rear sleeve (see photos) otherwise would be almost EX- but safe to say VG+ which is still amazing for the age as so many were trashed.
Inner sleeve: Original white inner sleeve, no tears or rips VG/VG+.
Labels: Rough textured label, light spindle marks, again would be almost Ex- if not for “41” and "41a” written on label (see photos), hey still great condition but VG/VG+ depending on your view on pen marks.
Vinyl: Amazingly retains the vast majority of its original sheen, a few wispy hairlines (under light) from sleeve removal, couple of light non-obtrusive surface scuffs only; visually has retained its looks despite the years, really solid VG+
Audio: Good solid audio, no skips, sticks or jumps, very light non-offensive background static /crackle (NOT POPS) in the background between tracks, run in and soft passages. It is there but doesn’t hinder or overwhelm, safely say VG/VG+
