Description

An original 1968 UK 1st press on the Elektra label. Matrix A1/B1 - very 1st cut. Pressed on lovely solid 60's vinyl it comes housed in the original 60's gatefold without printers credit. Also included is the original late 60's poly-line 'plastic bag warning' inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+) In lovely condition and has not been abused despite seeing a light to moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a VERYGOOD+ level of playback. If you need a perfectly clean background you're probably going to need to keep looking for another example. But if you're prepared to compromise and accept a bit of light static in those quiet moments [nothing invasive] - this copy performs remarkably well. Thanks to this high quality Elektra pressing most of the original audio is still present. You're going to get all that energy and wackiness that makes the Doors so addictive. As I've mentioned the quieter moments will exhibit a bit of light background in places. But for much of the LP it is a total blast! I'm a big fan of the Doors - and I'm liking what I hear. This copy is clearly quite capable of delivering their sound to maximum effect. Love it.
Cover (Vg+) A tricky one to find in tip top condition, but this example is very tidy. There's a sticker residue mark top right on the front and a name written top left on the rear. But otherwise front and back look really nice and better than you typically find. The interior is good too withh nicce blacks on the right and a bit of ageing top and bottom, on the left. Edge wear is relatively light and the spine in very good order. All text still legible and no signs of heavy wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Quite aged, but no splits.
