Description
A 1st pressing of Strange Days on the UK Elektra label. Matrix A1/B1. Please note the label mentions 'copyright control' and so publishing credits were still being resolved at the time this LP was pressed. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover printed in Great Britain by Polydor. Please note there's no original lyric inner, but rest assured the level of preservation on this copy more than makes up for it. This LP was originally purchased at 'Albert Records' in London N7 the Holloway Road - tiny sticker in the interior.
Vinyl (Ex+) In absolutely terrific condition and has clearly seen only the very lightest of use. Under close inspection there are a couple of ultra-light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Yes, you read that correctly - don't underestimate how unusual that is for a true vintage LP. The audio quality on this LP is straight into 'final upgrade' territory. Perfectly resolving the acoustics on this LP very last nuance and echo. I've never heard a better copy and suspect it may be some time before I get even close to this one...Please note one of the labels has been autographed.
Cover (Ex+) Again, how on earth does a 1967 original cover turn up in this condition..it truly beggars belief! Shiny like new practically. Surfaces are flat and without creasing. There's a touch of laminate lift along the spine ege - this is pretty much unavoidable due to the manufacturing process. There's almost no edge wear at all all the way round. The only thing we can spot is a microscopically slight split for a few mm's on the spine - and you'd have to squint to even spot it. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity.
