Description
First mono pressing of The Doors' seminal debut album pressed at the Monarch Pressing Plant. This is a particularly desirable pressing because it comes from the rarer mono mix, where you can hear Morrison say certain muffled expletives during "The End," and was pressed at one of the most esteemed pressing plants. This can be identified as a first pressing because of the Witmark credit on side one.
Side 1: EKL-4007A (MON) (MR) [DELTA]10046 Side 2: EKL-4007B (MON) (MR) [DELTA]10046-X
Vinyl: Middle to upper VG on playback, although it has been awhile. No Elektra inner sleeve. Nice labels, some spindle marks under strong light. Many hairlines and sleeve scuffs, none or hardly any of which look audible. My guess is you may hear some crackle, especially with a stereo cartridge, and if there is a tick no more than one. Nothing a good turntable and clean can't solve.
Cover: VG. Middle of the road VG cover, with some ringwear and side scuffing, hardly legible spine. No seam splits, cover art still fne.
Will be mailed with plastic outer and polytheline inner sleeve.
