THE DOORS - ELEKTRA EKL 4007. THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL COPY OF THIS LP. COVER IS THE STEREO VERSION WITH OFFICIAL "MONO" STICKER ON IT. COVER IS VG++ WITH AWESOME SEAMS AND ONLY SLIGHT LIGHT OVERALL WEAR. THE ONLY FLAW IS THE BEGINNING OF A CENTER SPINE SPLIT WHICH IS VIRTUALLY INVISIBLE (IT'S SO SMALL- less than 1/12"). THERE IS EVERSO SLIGHT RINGWEAR. DISC IS THE DEEP-GROOVED GOLD LABEL. NEAR MINT ALL AROUND. I NEVER GRADE MINT (NM IS THE HIGHEST GRADE I USE). THE RECORD PLAYS FLAWLESSLY; LIKE BRAND SPANKING NEW!ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS AND ARTISTICALLY SUCCESSFUL DEBUT LPs EVER, THIS FORTY YEAR OLD COPY HAS A VIBRANT COVER, SHINY VINYL, AND GLOWING MINT LABELS - EXTRAORDINARILY GORGEOUS ALL AROUND!
THE MONO MIX IS CELEBRATED FOR ITS ALTERNATE MIX FROM THE STEREO VERSION. MANY CONSIDER THE MONO MIX TO BE SUPERIOR AND WAS ONLY IN PRINT FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR. AS OF 1968, MONO PRESSINGS WERE ABANDONED INDUSTRY WIDE FOR STEREO RECORDINGS.

This record is from the collection of a DJ from the 1960's and 1970's. He never even listened to most of the records and stored them in a smoke-free environment and they were placed on hard shelves and were always stored vertically.
