Description
Vintage 1967 gold label stereo pressing of The Doors self-titled debut album on Elektra Records (EKS-74007).
Likely Columbia Pitman pressing variation featuring the “Harms Co.” publishing credit on “Alabama Song.” A beautiful early Doors pressing that presents exceptionally well for its age.
Includes original Elektra inner sleeve.
Record Grading: VG+
Vinyl retains strong original gloss and plays through very nicely on both sides. Shows some light surface wear consistent with age and handling. Side two has a longer visible sleeve/scuff mark that cannot be felt and does not affect playback. A very enjoyable vintage listening copy overall with strong playback.
Cover Grading: VG+
Cover presents beautifully overall with:
- Slight ring wear on front
- Small corner crease
- Two small nicks on spine
- Minor general shelf wear
Still crisp, clean, and highly presentable for a nearly 60-year-old original.
Matrix / Runout:
- Side A: EKS-74007-A
- Side B: EKS-74007-B with additional “1-D” and “T” markings
Details:
- 1967 gold Elektra labels
- Stereo pressing
- EKS-74007
- “Printed in U.S.A.” on back cover

A very nice collectible early Doors pressing and a strong addition to any classic rock or psychedelic rock vinyl collection.
