Description

An original 1st press of Morrison Hotel on the UK Elektra label from 1970. Matrix A1/B1. Labels are consistent with 1st press. The heavy set vinyl come housed in an original gatefold cover printed by MacNeill Press. Also included is the original inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzers! This is truly a beauty and most certainly the nicest copy I've had the pleasure to audition. Looking at the waste vinyl in the spindle hole and the lack of spindle traces this is an extremely low-mileage copy. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Now, I have to admit a certain bias on this copy - I absolutely love this album. But boy what a treat to hear it in absolutely perfect shape. I mean the audio is just unbelievable - perfect clarity and transparency. Intros and inbetweens are silent and  the even the quiet tracks play super CLEAN! Interference is totally absent. We could only detect a couple of crackles [literally] the whole way through. It is quite straightforwardly the best copy I've heard and you just will not find a better copy no matter how long you look for it. A FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has clearly been carefully looked after down the years. Difficult to find in tip top condition, and here we have front and back surfaces in really great shape. I can only make out one tiny crease and a couple of very small indentations. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is reasonably light and you're just going to notice a touch more on the spine. You can still pretty much read most of the text on the spine though. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. What a specimen!
