Description

An original USA late 1st issue on Elektra. The 1st copies had a window on the front and embossed lettering. In order to reduce the complexity of producing that original design they soon moved toward a 2nd design. Non-window and embossed lettering (as you find here) - with the rounded corners. Note the Columbus address is found on the lp and the cover. There's the original and bespoke yellow inner too with rounded corners [the band image is not on the rear though,,]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A super player throughout with little sign of background. Plays clean into the quieter moments. And this is an all time classic release - you need to make sure you have absolute 'best audio' on this one to get the full gamut. It's a corker for sure into those lowkey moody moments. Perhaps just a couple of crackles in a couple of spots. Needless to say but when the Doors were on form...there was no one that could touch them.
Cover (Vg) Not up to the standard of the vinyl but perfectly acceptable. Some edge wear in a couple of spots. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex-) No ageing. Bottom edge split will be internally taped up.
