Description
VERY RARE 1st press, first edition of this classic album, with the original "window" cover and the very rare "Crucifixion" inner sleeve, which was banned in many countries. This edition with this cover was only on sale for a very short time, hence its rarity.
Original LP bought by the seller in the UK in 1971 when the album was first released.

This is the ORIGINAL Elektra UK 1st Pressing from 1971 and is in great condition. The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. Catalogue number K 42090 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Elektra label (see picture) and is a UK Stereo 1st Pressing. THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING EVER MADE, WITH A1/B1 MATRIX ENDINGS, PVC 'WINDOW' COVER & YELLOW 'CRUCIFIX' INNER SLEEVE
L.A. Woman is the sixth studio album by The Doors, and the last recorded with lead singer Jim Morrison, who died in July 1971, less than 3 months after the album's release. Most of the tracks were recorded live, except for a few overdubbed keyboard parts by Ray Manzarek. Morrison recorded his singing in the studio's bathroom to get a fuller sound. Elvis Presley's bass player Jerry Scheff was brought in to play bass on the album, and rhythm guitarist Marc Benno was brought in so that Robbie Krieger could focus on playing lead guitar during live takes.

The item is in Sydney. I will post world-wide. If you are outside Australia, you will need to pay for any customs duty or other import tax in your country. If customs clearance is required by your authorities you are responsible for arranging this and paying any fees yourself. Customs duty / importation taxes are NOT included in the postage charge.
