Description

Being offered is an original 1967 pressing of the Doors self-titled first album, stereo version still in the original shrink wrap (catalog number EKS-74007).  This 33 1/3 RPM vinyl record has never been removed from the original packaging.  Cardboard sleeve conditions are as noted:  crease on the front near the bottom right corner.  This is hard to see unless titled toward a light source.   Edge wear on the corners where the cardboard sleeve has poked through the cellophane (small tears to the celophane at the edges).  Small crease line at bottom left edge.  Damage appears worse in the pictures than it does to the naked eye.  Take advantage of this no reserve auction bidding to add this highly desirable vinyl to your collection!
To provide more information, this album was acquired from a reputable auction house dealing only in music collectibles.  All of their items come from the personal collections of producers, promoters, radio personalities and musicians alike.  They are not acquiring from a random seller off the street or on the internet. Record was presented as an original factory sealed pressing.  This is how it was purchased by me, and this is how I am listing.  I have been dealing with this company for almost 20 years now with no issues.  Everything I have gotten from them in the past has been authentic and accurately described.  I have no reason to think otherwise in this instance given my past extensive history in dealing with them. Because it is sealed, I will not be opening it to check...by purchasing you assume the risk as there are no returns, even in the unlikely event it turns out to be a slightly newer pressing.
As a side note, this was acquired as a lot of 2.  One of the copies has already been sold on Ebay, with positive feedback having been received by the buyer.  I hope this helps.
