The Doors: Vinyl Box Set is the seventh box set for the rock band The Doors.  This is the first box set that includes all the studio recordings of the original 6 Doors albums, remastered in stereo from the original analogue tapes.

The set also includes a mono version of the debut album.  Many fans claimed that the original mono version offered a superior sound to the stereo version.  

All of the artwork, packaging, and inner sleeves are replicas of the originals from 1967-1971. The box set was originally planned to be released in October 2007, but was delayed due to a problem with the vinyl, as well as other problems in the production of the box set. The delay ran until February 2008. Reasons for the delay included faulty test pressings, inferiority of the L.A. Woman artwork, and bad compounds in the vinyl that was used first, which caused a search for a new source of virgin vinyl.  It had been determined before work ever began that this was to be the best sounding and looking collection ever released by the band.  This set will not disappoint either sonically or visually!  This is the set that came with the Lizard Skin textured box!   

The box set will be available for a short time in a limited edition, serial numbered run of 12,500.  The set for which you are bidding is #06648.  There are only 12,5oo copies of this LP and there are far fewer still sealed.  Yes this is the same set that people are trying to sell here on ebay for $200-400.  You can get the exact same thing for a lot less money...   There are several tears on the original shrink wrap  that occurred when the set was shipped to me.  Yes it is still sealed, the package has never been opened.  There is no damage to the textured box.

There will be a charge of $5.89 for the packaging to ship this set.  It will not fit in a standard LP shipping box.  That charge is less than the actual cost...
