Description
WOW! Super scarce St Louis based band, on the STAX label! This is as grungey and garagey as they get! Both sides are great punky rockers that totally kick! These guys later were a launching vehicle for Micheal McDonald, and opened for the Beatles here in St Louis. I've only ever seen TWO copies, this is the second and it's in EX! The vinyl was poor quality at STAX at this time and the hair in the program comes from the primitive nature of the single and also the wave file is hit a little hard. Very very few copies are known to exist and this is about as clean as they get! The only other copy I've seen was from a group member! Some truly rare white labels and minty soul. WE DIG THE DEEPEST! When in doubt check out youtube for a listen, 'cause these are the coolest and the rarest! What's the big deal about promos?? Well in the case of many major labels, promos were pressed separate from stock copies. In many cases, such as A&M, CBS and MOTOWN etc, they were pressed on pure virgin vinyl, unlike STYRENE which was used for their stock copies. The sound and quality is markedly better and not to mention the rarity of them, in many cases being one out of many thousand copies. So if you see "audiophile" posted in my 45 auctions, you can be sure it's a high quality VINYL pressing, not a styrene copy. Most of these have been in storage, in their original mailer envelopes with sequential numbered discs. If a 45 is listed MINT, that means it appears as NEW-OLD-STOCK in its original jacket.
