Description
An excellent and fairly rare vinyl LP record, recorded in 1957. The Del Vikings were formed in 1957 while all 4 members were in the United States Air Force. While in the service, they toured with the Air Force's "Tops In Blue" show, and when their were discharged, they signed a record contract, and were on their way to the "big time".
Their first super hit, "Come Go With Me" sold millions, and put the Del-Vikings on the charts. They continued their success for several years, but toured for many more, even though they had personnel changes over the years.
This album may have been their finest of all those recorded that were recorded and released. This album will give you a sense of their appeal, particularly to younger do-wop and rock-n-rollers.
Listen to this one as they sing "Come Along With Me", "Summertime", "Down In Bermuda", and others. They had the sound that most loved, and they did it to perfection. A great recording that is extremely hard to find.
This record has been in climate controlled storage for nearly 50 years, and I'm now selling off many in my collection. Get this one while you can, and you won't be sorry!!
