From my own collection I'm offering a few rare original Jazz vinyls from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Today we go with some very sought after items from German and European Jazz. Don't hesitate to ask for more details of further records to come
THE DRUMS by Jo Jones - 2 LP's
A very rare French original issue on Jazz Odyssey JO 008. It comes in a high glossy gatefold sleeve and contains the 12 page booklet of photos and narrative in English and French. (later issues did not contain that !)
An important and hard to find 2LP oral history/instruction set and and document: You don't just hear Jo Jones talking about his musical life and the people he worked with. He also gives drums solos and examples of drumming techniques and explains how other drummers would set up their kit and play. The final track has Willie The Lion Smith on the piano.

The records and the sleeve are absolutely mint. (One visual surface mark on track 3 of side 1 must be coming from the pressing and is not audible at all) It will be very difficult to find a copy like this one again.
