This JOE MEEK / R.G.M SOUND RECORDING is the RAREST release to exist by THE DOWLANDS !!!.
This is probably or possibly the rarest ORIOLE single there is !!!

This is a once in a lifetime oppertunity - ORIGINAL VERY FIRST PRESSING 45 SINGLE ! - being sold as part of a large collection recently aquired by WORLDCOLLECTABILIA UK
This single has been kept (since pressed in 1963) as part of a collection owned by a member of staff that worked in the pressing department at EMI.
This 45 single has been stored for 44 years in a closed record case from when he brought it home from work one day !!.
As we know very few issues of this 45 single ever existed and made it into the public domain .
The UK 'Rare record price guide'2008 gives a valuation of this extremely rare 45 at a price of £850.00 +
This very first pressing DEMO / REVIEW single has an A SIDE labeled ('NOT FOR SALE REVIEW COPY ONLY ') sticker !!

Played twice !! by myself on 2 separate high end Reference turntables' this 45 plays as new throughout both sides.
Therefore Audio / listening grade of NEAR MINT
VISUAL
The vinyl playing surface retains its high gloss newly pressed look
with no nail marks / scratches or hairline marks at all to both playing sides
When originally pressed it has resulted in 2 slight pressing heat blemishes
or slight visual 'ripples' which do not seriously affect the play throughout.
As a record dealer for the last 30 years i can confirm that this would have been an original pressing flaw, not as a result of heat at a later stage in its life !!
played twice , this 45 has been graded on 2 completely different set-up reference turntables.
On monitoring side 1, the arm raise (over the 2 small warps) tracks perfectly well with minimal lift in the area of attention .
On my light balanced set-up i needed to line the track on side 2 in the middle of the run in groove, avoiding the slight edge 'ripple' mentioned to maintain a clear track from start to finish.
this side, side 2, plays audibly clearly and perfectly throughout .

Original Oriole 7 " record company sleeve which is in perfect condition.
