Description
This listing is for the ORIGINAL 1962 Philles Records release of The Crystals album The Crystals Twist Uptown, Philles Records number PHLP 4000. The cover is STILL in SHRINK WRAP, all seams intact, spine clean and legible. The record is in VG+++ condition with a nice finish and "almost" looks un-played with clean unmarked labels. 2 things should be noted. On the back LP cover there is a tiny catalog number "1958A" written at the very left boarder and you can view that in the picture of the back cover attached. 2nd, the vinyl is very nice, very clean but there are 2 what I would call small vinyl beads located on track 2 of both sides that apparently did not melt fully when the record was pressed in manufacturing. They can be viewed when the record is tilted under bright light at the proper angle and I tried to take a picture of them in the grooves but the camera wasn't capturing it precisely, but I have attached one photo and one bead is approximately dead center in that pic. The record plays through fine and when it gets to where the 2 beads are you can hear for approximately 3 or 4 rotations a very short what I would call thump when it gets to the beads. If not for the 2 beads I became aware of this would be MINT-. Sorry for the long description but I wanted to make sure any flaws I was aware of was pointed out to anyone that would be interested in the album. Shipping in the U.S. is $4.95. If you would like Ins. on this I will check the rates at the P.O. which go according to your Zip Code.
