Description
Rare slice of melodic and powerful mod rock from 1966 – The Creation were always a little too close to The Who's sound to forge their own success but their few Planet singles have become increasingly hard to find and consequently collectable.
This copy of Painter Man plays through well, albeit with some surface noise - plenty of marks and hairlines, grading Good + toVG visually, and nearer VG to VG+ on the audio. The music successfully overpowers any crackle once it cranks up. B Side The is similar.
The A Side label has a mark left from an old price label. The B Side label is clean and close to excellent. The 4-prong centre is also intact (it's often missing if it was a jukebox copy) and it comes in a new white DJ card sleeve AND a repro Planet company sleeve, albeit with a small seam split to one side.
Sensible start price for this powerful single taking you straight back to the sweaty clubs of the mid-60s.
