Description
Up for auction is a true first pressing of The Cramps – Gravest Hits (1979) with the misprinted red cover, still in the original shrink wrap. This release compiles the two earlier EPs (Human Fly and Surfin’ Bird) and includes the bonus track “Lonesome Town.”
The jacket is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos. The record itself looks very nice overall—flat, with no major scratches, just some minor surface marks that do not affect play.
Please note: there is a skip at the very beginning of “Human Fly.” It can be played past by moving the needle forward only. This skip was not present the last time I played the record, this was a recent discovery, so it may be setup- or stylus-related, but I want to be fully transparent.
This would be a great copy for someone looking to upgrade their sleeve, or for a buyer who doesn’t mind the issue or can resolve it. Overall, a solid and increasingly hard-to-find pressing.
