Description

The Complete Buddy Holly Story 9 LP record set vinyl + free Elvis Presley LP. Condition is Used but in fine condition. this was to be the ultimate complete Buddy Holly collection but, from what I know, was never released in this precise form because of a copyright problem. This copy was originally a trade sample supplied by Coral Records in Germany to Decca Records in UK - some of the discs still have the "trade sample" label on (see picture). As well as the songs by Buddy with the 3 Tunes, The Crickets and solo, there is Mike Berry's Tribute and a couple of very unusual songs by Jerry Allison with backing by Buddy Holly. Some tracks are unreleased from tapes recorded by Buddy and there are also some short interviews with Buddy and The Crickets and with his parents. This is a collectable and very rare boxed set - missing only the poster that was on my bedroom wall for many years! Also included is an LP of Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley & the Comets which is missing sleeve and cover but plays perfectly - a useful bonus. Some really good tracks on this too.
