Description
LP by The Common People entitled "Of The People / By The People / For The People / From the Common People" released in 1969 on Capitol (ST-266). Original US pressing. Still sealed. The cover has a pair of side-by-side cutout holes at the top right corner that are a bit messy: on the front cover a piece of the shrink wrap is torn away at this corner and a small crease intersects the two holes (see photo); on the back cover at this corner, a small piece of the shrink is also torn away and the cover slick is lightly toned within this area and the slick is tearing/torn around the cutout holes (see photo). The cover also has some bending/creasing on front at the lower left corner area, some general rubbing to the cover on front (accentuated by the light glare/rubbing captured on the shrink wrap in the photo), and there is a small tear/ding (about 1/2cm) in the cover paper on the back at the bottom (see photo). All factors considered, I'd say the cover grades at (or close to) VG+. It's still sealed so the vinyl should be MINT.
I use oversized LP mailers with layers of bubble wrap to fully protect the cover's corners and edges during transit. Sealed albums are pressure-strapped between cardboard flats to secure the vinyl inside and prevent splits.
