CUT THE CRAP
1985 release by The Clash Mk II.
This is an unusual release of this LP; while it used UK labels it is an Irish pressing and this is obvious from the ‘lunar landscape’ labels, though it must be said they were not as extreme as earlier years.
It’s supposed to be a translucent brown colour when held up to strong light, but quite honestly, I can’t see it. I have in the past owned some Irish brown translucent pressings but this doesn’t appear to be one of them. The only evidence is the labels and slightly different matrices to a UK pressing (apart from the fact that I bought this in Dublin in 1985) as well as the giveaway “double dip” centres so typical of Irish pressings.
Sleeve and record are in excellent condition. The inner sleeve has a few unexplained spots on it which may or not come away with a damp cloth but these are really minor. Record is in near-mint condition. I suspect it was only ever played once.
