This is a brand new but 20 year old vinyl record autographed by Chameleons lead singer Mark Burgess in 1990. Mark Burgess self-released this in 1990 on his Glass Pyramid Records 12" vinyl ep "Tony Fletcher Walked on Water....La La La La La-La La-La-La". Completely out of print, rare one of 1100 pressings ever made. Never been played and is in like new condition, taken out of its sleeve only two times in 20 years (which includes once for today's photographing). Note that in the upper left corner of the record cover that 1/8" edge of this outer corner is showing faint wear. Can send you close up photo of this if this is important to you. Record will be packed securely per eBay's vinyl LP shipping recommendation in a dedicated reinforced cardboard LP mailer. Record will be shipped carefully protected next to artwork, in it's white paper dust sleeve out of cardboard artwork cover so outer spline of artwork doesn't split in transit. International shipping requires Priority Mail International, large box, in order to have a required tracking number, no exceptions. Shipping and handling includes my nominal cost for LP mailer. The album's title is a memorial to Tony Fletcher, who was the band's manager since their 1986–87 tour, but also involved with the band prior to that.[1][2][3] These tracks are the final recordings made by the band before their reunion in 2000.[2][4] [edit] Recording and release historyIn 1987, The Chameleons were ready to record their fourth studio album, to be released on Geffen.[5] The band recorded four songs which were supposed to be released before the full album.[1] The band's manager Tony Fletcher died of a heart attack just two days before these songs were recorded, and the band broke up acrimoniously soon after.[1][2][3] Although recorded in 1987,[4] Tony Fletcher Walked on Water was not released until 1 October 1990, well after the band had broken up.[6] In 1990, the band's main songwriter, Mark Burgess, formed the record label Glass Pyramid to help pay off the band's debts.[1] The still-unused tracks from the 1987 Geffen session were to be used as the first Glass Pyramid release, and the label pressed 1100 copies of Tony Fletcher Walked on Water on each CD and 12" vinyl.[6][1] However, due to legal threats by guitarist Dave Fielding, the EP never made it to shops.[1][4][3] Some copies were provided for people in the music industry [edit] Track listingSide 1: "Is It Any Wonder" – 5:46 "Denims and Curls" – 4:23 Side 2: "The Healer" – 7:07 "Free for All" – 4:25 International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
