Description
The Chameleons were one of post-punk's most atmospheric and influential acts, and Tony Fletcher Walked On Water La La La La La - La La - La - La stands as a poignant final chapter in their original run. Recorded in 1987, these four tracks represent the band's last studio recordings before their breakup, originally intended as a precursor to a fourth full-length album that never came to be. Released on Blue Apple Music, this 2022 pressing brings new life to a piece of music history from one of the era's most compelling bands.
Named after the band's manager Tony Fletcher, this EP captures The Chameleons at a creative crossroads, delivering tracks that feel fully realized rather than like mere album warm-ups. Fans of the band's signature blend of jangly guitars, driving rhythms, and Mark Burgess's distinctive vocals will find this release a worthy addition to their collection. Whether you're a longtime devotee or a newcomer discovering The Chameleons for the first time, this purple vinyl pressing is a compelling way to experience these recordings.
