Description
Rare, very hard to find classic Cramps boot from the early '80s. Tales of Terror!! features great, high quality recordings of some unreleased tracks:
Side 1:The Way I Walk/Everybody's Moving/Domino/Rocket In My Pocket/Human Fly/Rockin' Bones Side 2:Teenage Werewolf/Sunglasses After Dark/Teenage Werewolf/Twist & Shout/Weekend On Mars/Rockin' Bones/Mad Daddy
Tracks 1 - 8 are from a KFAT FM stereo radio broadcast of The Cramps show at The Keystone, Palo Alto, Feb ‘79. Remaining tracks are demos produced by Chris Spedding at Hot House Studio, NYC, Jan ’79.
This is a copy of the original Vengeance 999 release of this record and not a subsequent repress. As such, it must be noted that the vinyl on side 1 has a weird matt effect, as if the vinyl is damaged. This effect is present on ALL copies of this LP and DOES NOT affect playback at all.
Vinyl for this one is graded M -. Aside from the pressing fault listed above, the vinyl is clear and free from scratches. There are a couple of (very minor) scuffs which do not affect playback. Sound on this LP is clear with no hiss or pops. It must be noted, however, that the source recording for the Spedding demos contains some very light crackle. This is NOT on the record, but from the source recording, this is evident from the lack of any noise between these tracks and the lack of any crackle on the live tracks.
Sleeve for this one is graded VG/VG +. There is a fair amount of edge wear, but no seam splits, folds or "dinks". On the front there is a letter "F" written in silver pen to the top left corner and some adhesive residue from a price sticker to the top left corner. On the white labels on the vinyl, the original owner has hand written the track titles for each side. Please see photo for reference.
Low starting price reflects quality of sleeve/labels.
Postage is £4.00 UK, £5.00 EU and £6.00 everywhere else. I can arrange Recorded Delivery/Airsure for most destinations at buyer's expense and recommend this for countries with dodgy postal services as I will not be responsible for items going missing to these countries. ****PAYPAL ONLY****
