Description
The Chosen Few
Nobody But Me / I Think It's Time
(U.S. Northbeach Records #1003-A/-B) 1966?
VG(+) / --
(rec/cvr)
Lots of light marks--more significant than "paper scuffs" but still light marks, that may cause some light crackle but no loud pops. Label wear.
This is a white label DJ copy of the first pressing for this single, on San Francisco's legendary Northbeach label, before it was picked up for wider distribution as Autumn Records #17. It's pretty surprising to compare the two pressings side-by-side--there is an immediately obvious difference in sound quality, with this first pressing, on the Northbeach label, delivering louder, clearer and far superior sound. (Uh, in my opinion.)
THE CHOSEN FEW came from San Francisco, CA (this Chosen Few did, at least) and of course would soon evolve into the Flamin' Groovies.
Very cool record, and extremely tough to find!
Listen to mp3s below:
Nobody But Me (2:12)
I Think It's Time (1:47)
**note: I've put a small reserve on this auction, far less than $100
Records are strictly, visually graded:
NM:
disc appears unplayed; sleeve shows no signs of handling
EX:
disc has no flaws; sleeve has only very minor, not obvious flaws
NEX:
disc has very minor, inaudible flaws; sleeve still looks quite nice
VG+:
disc normally will not have audible marks, but more visual flaws; sleeve will have more noticeable, minor wear
VG:
disc will have slight audible flaws; sleeve clearly shows wear
Unfortunately as we all know,
the costs for shipping internationally have gone up, I have no choice but to pass this increase along.
As always, I try to cover my expenses only (I do not charge a "handling fee" or try to make money from shipping charges), and it's not uncommon for my costs to exceed what I charge...
PRIORITY SHIPPING TO ANYWHERE IS AVAILABLE, JUST ASK!!
U.S. MEDIA MAIL is $4;
(Whatever they're now calling:) FIRST CLASS INT'L is:
$8.50 TO CANADA for 1 or 2 45s; plus $1 each add'l;
$12.50 TO EUROPE & ELSEWHERE for 1 or 2 45s; plus $2 each add'l.
If my charges end up being too high I will (happily) refund; I'm just trying to cover my costs
& not have to pay to give up my records...
Combined shipping is not a problem.
